Addison Ryan is a future “Difference Maker” at the high school level. She has great handles from the point guard position. Addison has what every basketball coach desires- on court composure when leading her team. Shooting wise she can hit the long range 3-pointer or take it strong to the bucket and finish. Her mid-range stop and pop is hard to contain. Addison has the makings of a D-I college body, as her wingspan is already 6 feet. Her select basketball coach, Jimmy Stellato, says “she’s blessed with a lot of God given ability but works to make her game better. She is a fierce competitor who doesn’t mind the physical play.” This 8th grader’s best moves right now are a quick spin move to the hoop, inside out, hesitation and crossover move. Addison also has two favorite moves to use, the step back and the Texas Two-step move. That’s more moves than most experienced college players have. Coach Stellato says “She has all the right moves to be a major D-I player.” He should know, having been an assistant women’s basketball coach at the University of North Texas and Stephen F. Austin. Addison is the type of floor leader that is hard to find, but not for the college coaches who will see her dynamic game over the next few seasons. You can catch her game this spring as she leads the Texas Lone Star Select team in AAU ball!
